Bring related documents into one PDF
A merged PDF keeps a set of documents together in one file. It’s useful for combining a cover letter and résumé, collecting invoices, or putting a report and its appendices in the same place.
Choose your files, then check the order
Add the PDFs you want to combine. Each document appears in the file list, where you can move it earlier or later using the arrows. The first file becomes the beginning of the merged document, followed by the remaining files in the order shown.
Check the list before continuing, give the output a recognizable name, and choose whether to add a blank separator between documents. If your files are named in sequence, the file-name sorting option can help put them in order.
Common questions
Can I change the order of the PDFs?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows beside a selected file. You can also sort the list by file name, then make any final adjustments.
What’s the difference between merging and organizing?
Merging brings separate PDF files together. Organizing changes the order of pages from one or more documents. Use Organize PDF when you need to move or remove individual pages.
Does merging make the file smaller?
Merging combines documents; it is not a compression step. If you need a smaller attachment, compression is a separate task.
